About YKM :
Women empowerment refers to making women powerful or to make them capable of deciding for themselves. Women have suffered a lot through the years at the hands of men.In earlier centuries , they were treated as almost nonexistent. Empowerment is an aid to help women to achieve equality with men or at least to reduce gender gap .Constitution has given fundamental rights like freedom to speak, freedom to express and right to work equally to both man and women. To inculcate such human values and respect for women, this portfolio Yuvati Kalyan Mandal or Women empowerment cell is established and is in well functioning in our Dayanand Science College. Principal and Portfolio members of Yuvati kalyan Mandal conduct the interview and potential students were selected through this interview.
