Over the decades, under the esteemed guidance of the Dayanand Education Society, our college has established itself as a premier center for science education and research in Maharashtra. Our journey has been shaped by a legacy of commitment, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of academic excellence. At Dayanand Science College, we believe that quality education is the cornerstone of a progressive society. To that end, we ensure that our campuses are well-equipped, adequately resourced, and staffed with highly qualified professionals to provide an enriching learning environment. The strength of our academic programs lies in the rich experience and dedication of our faculty, who bring with them a deep well of knowledge and research expertise. Together, we strive to offer a learning experience that is not only relevant and engaging but also intellectually stimulating-encouraging curiosity, creativity, and innovation.

Our college offers a diverse range of academic programs tailored to meet contemporary scientific and technological demands. At the undergraduate level, we offer B.Sc. (General), B.Sc. (Biotechnology), and B.Sc. (Computer Science). At the postgraduate level, we offer 9 courses in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics. Furthermore, we are proud to host recognized research centers for Ph.D. programs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Microbiology. Our students consistently contribute to academic discourse by presenting papers at state, national, and international platforms. Notably, our Computer Science students recently earned international recognition by winning the prestigious Anveshan award-an achievement that highlights their exceptional talent and commitment. In addition, our efforts in sustainability were honored with the National Energy Conservation Award – 2022 by Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, a proud testament to our dedication to environmental responsibility. We are equally committed to fostering a holistic environment where students thrive academically, personally, and professionally. Beyond academic knowledge, we emphasize the development of life skills, soft skills, communication abilities, and other essential competencies necessary for success in a globalized world.

To support the comprehensive growth of our students, we continually invest in enhancing our infrastructure, laboratories, and sports facilities. We also actively pursue support from esteemed funding agencies such as UGC, DST, RUSA, ISRO, and SERB to promote innovation and academic excellence. One of our proudest contributions to the educational landscape is the development of the renowned Latur Pattern, a teaching model that has received widespread recognition and has been adopted by various institutions across Maharashtra. Looking ahead, we have set ambitious goals: achieving autonomous status, completing the third cycle of NAAC re-accreditation with an impressive CGPA of 3.40 and an A+ grade, advancing to the second phase of the CPE initiative, attaining DBT Star College recognition, improving our NIRF ranking, and introducing new skill development programs. With the unwavering support of our management, faculty, and non-teaching staff, we remain committed to reaching these milestones and continuing our journey of academic excellence and innovation.
