Faculty Development Program (FDP)

Faculty development program (FDP) has been considered as a stand-alone educational pedagogy in fostering knowledge and professional skills of faculty. Faculty development programs often aim to enhance teaching effectiveness by offering workshops, coaching, and resources designed around the latest educational theories and pedagogies. They provide educators with opportunities to engage in peer observations, reflection, and constructive feedback, thus helping them to refine their teaching practices. This continuous growth enables them to keep pace with the ever-changing demands of modern education. Faculty development programs equip educators with various strategies and tools to actively engage students in the learning process. Faculty vitality is the main ingredient to enhance professional education and competence. Enriching the faculty vitality in key domains of teaching, assessing, research, professionalism, and administration is perceived to improve educational environment significantly and enhances the academic performance of learners.

The current era demands adaptive and innovative teaching methods to help students reach their full potential. By understanding the diverse needs and learning styles of students, teachers can create more engaging lessons. Due to their lot of applications, Dayanand Education Society’s Dayanand Science college, Latur in collaboration with Swami Ramanand Teerth, Marathwada University, Nanded  organized one week National Level Faculty Development Programme on “Student Guidance, counseling and soft skill development” during 18^th -23^rd December 2023.
