About the Department

Dayanand Education Society is one of the oldest educational Institution which was established in 1961. The motto of institute is Let the noble thoughts come to us from all the directions of the universe. In the campus of Dayanand Education Institute there are six different Colleges imparting education from Junior to Senior College level to 15,000 students. In this Institute, about 800 teaching and non-teaching staff who constantly strive hard to achieve the mission and goals of the Society. The modest beginning was the foundation of Dayanand College of Arts, Science and Commerce in the year 1961. In 1964, the inclusion of (late) Shri. Manikraoji Sonwane and (late) Shri Raja Narayanlalji Lahoti in the Governing Board of the Society in 1964 gave tremendous impetus for the development of the Society. The institution has now made such a rapid progress with the establishment of three separate single faculty colleges run by the Society. The institution has bagged many State and National awards. Recently, the Institution celebrated Golden Jubilee and organized different programmes. His Excellency Hon. Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India, solicited his presence at the closing ceremony of the programme. The institute has gone far ahead, yet it aspires to further in each and every academic year.
