Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Nanded has mooted the concept of Cluster of Colleges as an arrangement for mutual sharing of resources, human and physical, among neighbouring colleges with a view to optimum utilization of the available facilities for enhancing enrolment and quality of education. The scheme of the Cluster of Colleges would enable the partnering colleges in the cluster to progressively share existing infrastructure and manpower and create new common facilities. Accordingly, Dayanand Science College Latur, Azad College Ausa, Shivaji College Renapur, Mahatma Basweshvar College, Latur, Kumarswami Mahavidyalaya, Ausa, Shivneri Mahavidyalaya, Shirur Anantpal, Maharashtra College, Nilanga, Sanjeevani College, Chapoli Eight colleges formed cluster of colleges for functioning of University Examination, Common Research Laboratories, Add on Courses, Yoga Classes, Common Cluster Games, Cultural activities, Residential camps, workshops, International Conferences, Common book publications etc are some of the activities under Cluster of Colleges. The Principle, Dayanand Science College acting as a head of these cluster colleges. This scheme is introduced in 2020 by SRTMUN to achieve high academic quality through the optimum utilization of the existing facilities for the expansion of higher education, and improving access. It is a voluntary association of colleges for participatory conception and execution of collective objectives. National goals of access, equity and quality constitute the basic objective. Colleges as a Cluster can perform higher academic functions compared to what each individual College can, and benefits for each institution are larger than the resources that each institution invests.

Dayanand Science College, Latur is one of the renowned colleges affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University, Nanded. The University has decided to follow cluster-based examination system for Winter 2020. As per the resolution of Board of Examination and Evaluation, dated 19/01/2021, 11/02/2021 and the approval of Academic Council, dated 22/01/2021, our college has been selected as Cluster Head College for conduct of Winter Exam 2020. Following cluster method was applied for the smooth conduct of Winter Examination 2020 and Summer Examination 2021.

*Winter Examination 2020

To enable smooth conduct of Winter Examination 2020 of B Sc F Y, B Sc S Y and M Sc F Y, Dayanand Science College has been selected as Cluster Head College which will comprise of 14 colleges from Latur, Ausa, Renapur, Nilanga, Shirur Anantpal and Chakur . As per the University circular letter dated 15/02/2021, the Principal, being the Head of the cluster head college, conducted online meeting of all the principals and cluster coordinators of the colleges under cluster group on 19/02/2021 and discussed the schedule and cluster methodology in detail. In accordance with the discussion in the meeting, the cluster head college scheduled the time table of examination and also completed the work of paper setting. Winter Examination 2020 was successfully conducted as per the following schedule-

*Summer Examination 2021

As a result of the successful conduct of Winter Examination 2020, our college has been selected as Cluster Head College of Summer Examination 2020. As per the University circular letter 14/06/2021, the Principal, being the Head of the Cluster Head College arranged online meeting of all the principals and cluster coordinators of the colleges under cluster group and coordinator. A discussion on the timetable of examination and paper setting was held in the meeting. As per the discussion, it was decided to schedule the exam timetable and release it soon, also to complete the paper setting work during 15/07/2021 to 19/07/2021. For paper setting, the respective chairman has to submit soft copy and hard copy towards the cluster coordinator.
