Research Center

At Dayanand Science College, we follow the notion of research centers which is an abstraction of a particular area. A research lab encompasses people, projects, physical facilities, and activities. A research center or a center of excellence is an abstraction either in terms of the broader set of research themes being followed or in terms of hierarchy of research activities.

Research Centre: The research Centers at Dayanand Science College are multi-disciplinary with participation from several faculty members across different research domains. These centers, run by faculty and driven by students and staff, have active collaborations with academia, government, and industry.

The Thin films and Materials Science Research Laboratory, Department of Physics is an interdisciplinary center for applied research in the area of dilute magnetic semiconductors, nanoparticles, thin films, Ferrite and nanomaterials. The broad interdisciplinary experience in materials science in physics thereby reflecting the current research and development industrial environment. The Center currently focuses on themes of Oxide thin films, solar cell applications, and Gas sensing applications.

Mathematics at D.S. C. Latur is an interdisciplinary think-tank set-up to focus on the Differential Equations, Integral Equations Measure Integro-Differential Equations, Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics. The Research Centre of Mathematics is also the prominent Research Centre in SRTM University, Nanded for M. Phil. and Ph.D. level programs. This is active research center which is in collaboration with various National and International research centers. The faculty members of this Centre used to give invited talk in the international conferences in different countries like USA, Korea, Switzerland, Poland, Greece, Malaysia, Romania, Oman, Thailand, Iran, Singapore etc.

Microbiology: it is an interdisciplinary center for applied research to focus on the Medical Microbiology, Nanotechnology, Environmental microbiology, Phytochemistry, Biofertilizers, Biocontrol agents, Antimicrobial studies.

Chemistry: The research centre of our college is affiliated  to  Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Nanded. The  Post Graduate and Research Department of Chemistry is one of the oldest and reputed department of our college. Our view is to promote research interest both among the teachers and students . At present, 6 faculty members are research guides. The centre has  6 research scholar  are working and also has more than 35 research  publications,  more than 6 books  and 16  chapters in  international Edited book in leading international/national journals and conference proceedings during this period.
