Infrastructure - Botanical Garden

  • Botanical Garden:

    A Botanical Garden is established by the Department of Botany. It is situated on an area of 7400 Sq. ft. at the eastern side of the College. Plants belonging to different groups like Pteridophyta, gymnosperms and Angiosperms are planted. The trees include Tectona grandis, Polyalthia longifolia, Delonix regia, Phyllanthus emblica, Bambusa sp., Leucanea leucocephala, Tamarindus indica, Bauhinia purpurea, Citrus aurantifolia, Casuarina sp. etc. The gymnosperms like Cycas sp. and Araucaria sp. are also planted.

    In the Collge campus, there are many roadside trees, which include Peltophorum pterocarpum, Millingtonia hortensis, Samanea saman, Spathodea companulata, Delonix regia, Cassia fistula, Neolamarckia cadamba, Albizia lebbeck, Dalbergia sissoo, Bougainvillea spectabilis, Psidium guajava, Ficus elastica, Moringa oleifera, etc. Apart from this, various herbs and shrubs are also present.
